How do I make a reservation?

For your convenience, you can create a reservation using our online booking system or over the phone with one of our reservations agents at (805) 704.2933

Once we confirm the details of your reservation, we will prepare a short term rental agreement and email it to you. We require a credit card be placed on file at the time of booking in order to reserve your requested property. Please note that no reservation is confirmed until we receive BOTH the signed rental agreement and the card on file. The balance of your reservation is due 60 days prior to your arrival date.

Please note, if you are reserving a stay within 48 hours of your desired arrival date, SV will require additional documentation to confirm your booking.

SV requires all renters to be at least 25 years of age.

What is the cancellation policy?

This is copied direct from the Seaside Vacations Vacation Rental Agreement: “If I (WE) cancel our reservation more than 60 days prior to the occupancy date, the deposit is fully refundable minus a $250 cancellation fee and 4% credit card processing fee. If I (WE) cancel 60 days or less prior to the occupancy date, SV will make every attempt to re-book MY (OUR) Reservation. If SV re-rents the property for the week of MY (OUR) reservation at full price, I (WE) will receive 100% of the deposit back minus the $250 cancellation fee and 4% credit card processing fee (if applicable). If necessary, SV may re-rent the property for the week of MY (OUR) reservation at a discounted rate in order to secure a last minute reservation. In this case, I (WE) will receive a refund based on this newly discounted rate minus a 4% cc processing fee and the $250 cancellation fee. If SV is unable to re-rent the property for the week of MY (OUR) reservation and the cancellation occurred 60 days or less prior to the occupancy date, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations to multi-week reservations are subject to the same policy, however a cancellation fee of 10% of the total rental rate is applicable in lieu of the $250 cancellation fee.

What is a Damage Waiver fee?

On your rental agreement you will find a Damage Waiver fee listed in your booking charges. This fee is taken in lieu of a larger refundable security deposit, and is non-refundable. This fee offers you, our guest, as well as the owner of the home protection against accidental damages, up to $3000. Please note, a refundable cash security deposit cannot be accepted in lieu of this fee, as this protection plan is designed to simplify the claim process, if a claim must be made, for the owner of the home.

What is the check-in & check-out procedure?

We offer a simplified check in and check out. This means that you are free to arrive at our office  anytime after 4PM on your arrival date and check out anytime before 11AM on your departure date. Although we inspect the property after each departure, we encourage you to inspect the property when you arrive to ensure that there was no major damage done by the previous guests that you could be held responsible for. If you do notice any serious damage done to the property, please call our office at (805) 772-2241 or the emergency number listed on your paperwork and in the home.

Is the property pet friendly?

Most of our properties are pet friendly; however, please inquire about the specific property you are interested in to be sure. If you do choose to bring your pet you are responsible for controlling excessive noise caused by the pet (i.e. constant loud and uncontrolled barking). SV will give a warning upon the first complaint by a neighbor. At this point, you must take every reasonable measure to control the noise problem (i.e. close windows and doors and do not leave pet unattended at any time). Additional complaints will result in an early termination of the rental contract with no refund given.

Can I host an event at a property?

Each property is individually owned and it is at the owner’s discretion to allow any “event” hosted at the property during your stay. Events include but are not limited to: weddings ceremonies/ receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, and any other large gathering that exceeds the predetermined maximum occupancy of each individual property. All events must be pre-approved with Seaside Vacations prior to reservation confirmation. Failure to do so will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
